Job Opportunity: Plastic Moulding Process Expert
A challenging role has emerged for a skilled Injection Moulding Engineer to join our team in Waterford. As a key member of the manufacturing department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing new moulding processes that drive efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the introduction of new tools from initial trials and set-up to qualification and production handover.
* Contribute to the design and debugging of new systems, tooling, and automation.
* Execute and complete validation reports for IQ, OQ, and PQ.
* Improve yields and efficiency through designed experiments and optimized process setups.
* Act as a primary technical contact for customers, suppliers, and toolmakers.
* Manage moulding process systems, including control sheets and deviation management.
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting services.
* Collaborate daily with teams across the organization, including the tool room, maintenance, production, and quality.
* Develop and implement maintenance programs for moulding equipment.
Candidate Profile:
* A degree in Polymer or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
* 3-5 years of experience in a high-volume moulding environment.
* Proven experience with cleanroom procedures and medical moulding.
* Highly skilled in process setup and validation, including performing process window studies.
* Effective troubleshooting skills.
* Demonstrated ability to lead technical issue resolution.
* Excellent team player with strong communication and organizational skills.
* Lean Six Sigma or SIM/RJG process setup experience is an advantage.
