The Role
We seek a Junior Part 21 Electrical / Avionics Engineer to support leading the future of commercial aircraft modifications within Boeing EASA Modifications. This role is based at our BGS EASA Modifications site in Dublin, Ireland, and involves supporting certification of large aircraft modifications to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements as outlined in the company’s Design Organization Handbook (DOH). Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the Electrical / Avionics Engineering Manager and global engineering teams to identify requirements and solutions for ongoing projects.
* Contribute to design activities ensuring compliance with design requirements and addressing certification and integration issues related to electrical/avionic systems in large aircraft modifications.
* Support certification processes to meet regulatory standards.
* Prepare engineering documentation for continued airworthiness, including wiring diagrams, routing and harness drawings, service bulletins, and ICA manuals.
* Compile certification documents demonstrating compliance with electrical airworthiness requirements, such as load analyses, test plans, safety assessments, and certification checklists.
* Represent Boeing during customer milestone meetings (ITCM, PDR, CDR, FAI) and provide on-site support during project execution.
This position may require occasional travel within Ireland and internationally.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Avionics or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification such as an aircraft maintenance license.
* 1-2 years relevant industry experience.
Required Skills and Experience
* Experience with an EASA Part 21J Design Organization or similar is preferred.
* Basic knowledge of EASA, FAA, and other relevant regulatory standards (e.g., (E)TSO, CS-25, FAR-25).
* Experience with aircraft interior modification programs is advantageous.
* High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
* Effective collaboration skills and adaptability to changing demands.
