Windmill Healthcare is currently recruiting for a Activities Co-Ordinator to join our Care Team at Ferbane Care Centre, Main Street, Ferbane, Co. Offaly, R42TN84.Duties:Oversee and coordinate the appropriate recreational, physical and individualised activities programme for the residents of Ferbane Care CentreReview resident activity assessments on a regular basis or on a needs change basisIdentify the needs of the collective group and individuals and tailor the activities to suit themEstablish an open relationship with each resident and encourage each resident to participateEducate Ferbane Care Centre staff to provide resident activities.Report any concerns about a resident to the lead nurse in chargeAttend training courses both in-house and at other locations to meet and enhance the service being provided by Ferbane Care Care CentreTo undertake such other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Director of Nursing.The foregoing should not be considered exhaustive.Skills:Enjoy working with older peopleFluent in the English language (verbal and written) and be eligible to work in IrelandBe a committed, patient and caring person with a sense of humour and a positive outlook on lifeHighly motivated and have excellent communication skills to deliver activity programmes to a range of peopleStrong communication and listening skillsThe ability to work well in a team and liaise with other staff, volunteers and residentsAct as a good role modelPossess excellent teaching skillsQualifications:Gerontology ExperienceExperience:Previous experience with older peopleBenefits:Positive and supportive working environmentCycle to Work schemeFree on-site car parkingDiscounted mealsBe part of our story....
