Summary
: The Sample Management Coordinator is responsible for the receipt, registration, storage, distribution, and disposal of retain and retention samples within the company site. This role ensures compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and company procedures to maintain sample integrity and traceability throughout their lifecycle, while adhering to safety and warehouse protocols.
Responsibilities
:
* Follow all site safety procedures, including PPE requirements and safe handling of materials.
* Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards during sample handling and disposal.
* Report any safety incidents or near misses promptly
.
* Receive incoming retain samples and verify documentation.
* Log samples into the storage management system .
* Ensure samples are stored under appropriate conditions (temperature, humidity, segregation) as per SOPs.
* Maintain inventory of samples and manage sample retention timelines.
* Prepare and distribute samples to internal QC labs or external testing facilities.
* Track sample movement and maintain chain-of-custody records.
* Ensure all activities comply with GMP, GDP, and company policies.
* Maintain accurate records for audits and regulatory inspections.
* Coordinate timely disposal of expired samples in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
* Manage sample retention schedules as per regulatory requirements.
* Identify process improvements for sample management efficiency.
* Support implementation of digital tools for sample tracking.
Requirements:
* Must have
1-3 years' experience in a GMP-regulated environment, preferably in sample or inventory management.
* Familiarity with SAP/ Excel, Power of BI or similar systems.
* Knowledge of GMP, GLP, GDP requirements.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good communication and teamwork abilities.
* Compliance mindset
* Data integrity awareness
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Understanding of warehouse operations and EHS standards.
Qualifications/Requirements
* Leaving Cert education or equivalent is required (FETAC Level 5 or above)
* 1-3 years' experience in a GMP-regulated environment, preferably in sample or inventory management.
This is a 24 hour per week contract
