We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to join our team in Co Clare. The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of all engineering activities with a focus on site improvements, new projects, optimizing efficiency, maintain quality standards, and managing a small number of engineering staff.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent certificate in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field. They should also have strong analytical skills, ability to solve practical problems, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Direct daily operations of the engineering team to ensure a smooth workflow
* Lead and motivate engineering team to establish and achieve KPIs and profitability goals
* Facilitating open two-way communications regarding individual, team and company objectives and performance through weekly team meetings and daily interaction on the line
* Design and plan the layout of equipment, configure and optimize manufacturing processes to achieve optimum product yield within safety standards and reduced operating costs
* Analyse and troubleshoot problems with manufacturing processes, address and resolve technical issues promptly
* Scale-up the manufacturing process from pilot to full scale operation, ensuring that products are made correctly, cost effectively, and efficiently
* Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, making necessary adjustments to production processes and equipment to meet these standards
* Implement and maintain quality control checks to ensure the final product meets quality standards
* Aasse the economic feasibility of projects and processes, manage budgets, and cost estimates
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent certificate in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field
* Strong analytical skills, ability to solve practical problems, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Experience in managing projects, timelines, and resources effectively
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* High level of precision and attention to detail in quantitative analysis and documentation of results
