Director of Nursing

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing to lead our clinical and operational teams, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and resident wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Governance and overall management of the nursing home
Oversight of clinical and social care delivery
Management of admissions, transitions, transfers, and occupancy
Develop strong relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders (HIQA, HSE, GPs, etc.)
Leadership of HR functions, team development, and performance management
Financial and administrative oversight
Facility and service management to ensure a safe and high‑quality environment
Candidate Requirements
Registered General Nurse on the NMBI register
Minimum 3 years’ experience in nursing older persons (within the previous 6 years)
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a management role within health or social care
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Evidence of continuous professional development
Able to pass Garda Clearance and provide suitable references
Must have EU/EEA citizenship or unrestricted right to work in Ireland
Postgraduate qualification in Nursing Management or Gerontology (or willingness to undertake)
