Role Purpose
The HR Advisor plays a critical role in delivering high-quality HR support, focusing on end-to-end Employee Relations (ER) processes, compliance training, and supporting operational teams. This role ensures that HR practices are consistent, fair, and aligned with our people strategy while providing expert guidance on disciplinary, grievance, and investigation matters.
Core Responsibilities
* Employee Relations Management
* Lead and own end-to-end ER investigations, including disciplinary and grievance processes.
* Manage and maintain accurate documentation and compliance throughout ER cases.
* Provide expert advice to managers on ER issues, ensuring adherence to company policies and employment law.
* Employee Engagement & Communication
* Take ownership of the Information & Consultation (I&C) process, ensuring compliance and effective communication.
* Training & Development
* Deliver training sessions on compliance topics and emerging HR trends (e.g., absenteeism management, note-taking, conducting effective conversations).
* Support managers in building capability for handling ER issues confidently.
* HR Systems & Process Improvement
* Assist in implementing and optimising the new HRIS system to streamline ER case management and letter generation.
* Ensure systematic and efficient HR administration processes.
* Cross-Site Support
* Provide high-level HR support to other sites when required, including occasional travel for critical issues.
* Stakeholder Engagement
* Act as a trusted advisor to operational leaders, building strong relationships and offering proactive HR solutions.
* Collaborate with the People & Culture team to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in HR advisory roles, ideally within operational or manufacturing environments.
* Strong knowledge of Irish employment law and ER case management.
* Confidence using HRIS systems and ability to leverage technology to streamline processes.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
* Ability to work at pace and identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the team and for the benefit of the business.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and coach managers.
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
* Comfortable delivering training and engaging groups on HR topics.
* Proactive, solutions-focused, and committed to continuous improvement.
* Ability to travel occasionally to support other sites.
