Electrical Training Specialist
As an Electrical Training Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering training services to our Generation business.
* Provide expert advice on training and competence assurance, leveraging knowledge from previous operations/maintenance roles.
* Evaluate and modernise existing training courses and materials to ensure they meet the evolving needs of our staff.
* Collaborate with internal departments to develop and maintain knowledge of products and gather content for training initiatives.
* Deliver training to operations/maintenance teams to achieve specific learning outcomes and objectives.
* Contribute to the development and influence of policies and procedures related to electrical training.
* Explore suitable tools, equipment, and packages to deliver effective training.
* Maintain quality, environmental, and Health & Safety standards across all training initiatives.
Requirements
* Relevant or practical experience in troubleshooting, lecturing, or maintenance/repair of electrical machinery or associated systems.
* Experience in HV & LV power systems or electrical machinery is essential.
* Good presentation skills to effectively impart technical knowledge to new and experienced personnel.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office suite (including PowerPoint).
* A willingness to self-learn and improve is crucial for success in this role.
Desirable Qualifications:
* A recognised third-level engineering qualification or apprenticeship combined with suitable industry experience would be highly beneficial.
* Ideal experience in a training function heavy process industry or similar industry installation/commissioning, maintenance, or operations of electrical systems.
* Proven track record of designing, deploying, and managing training initiatives is highly desirable.
