Job Summary
Nua Healthcare Services (Nua) is one of Ireland's leading Private Healthcare Providers, specialising in Residential and Supported Living Services, to both Children and Adults with a range of complex support needs.

The successful candidate will be afforded all necessary training and development in line with the role. Candidates must be highly motivated and creative, with a passion for engaging with Service Users on a daily basis. Candidates will contribute to enriching the lives of our Service Users.
Job Objectives
The Role of a Social Care Worker is to provide care to people who avail of our service. We support people in reaching their full potential, to have a meaningful life through the supports of the services we provide to them.

This will include the following on a day-to-day basis:
1. Supporting people with their daily plan.
2. Support the Individual in experiencing the everyday life within their community.
3. Supporting people with their education, skills development and achieving personal outcomes.
4. Supporting people with their living skills such as - Cooking, Cleaning, Laundry, attending appointments, family visits etc.
5. Being familiar with and adhering to all Company policies and procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice in so far as is reasonable and practicable.
6. Enable individuals supported by the service to pursue and maintain their individual hobbies and interests.
7. Driving and/or escorting the service user by a company vehicle, or via public transport, to and from social activities, appointments or planned outings.
8. Assist with encouraging and developing individuals, in relation to personal hygiene, health matters and care for their personal appearance.
9. To promote and safeguard the well-being, and interests of the service user at all times.
10. Shift work over 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
Skills Requirement
Qualification:
1. Level 7/ 8 degree in Social Care/Healthcare or related discipline.
2. Must be a registered member of CORU.
3. Full Irish Driver's Licence required or in the process of achieving a Full Irish Driver's Licence.
Knowledge:
1. Knowledge of standards and legislation relevant to the area.
Experience:
1. Relevant life / work experience would be desirable but not essential.
Skills:
1. Good attitude to work and passionate about supporting people.
2. Strong problem-solving skills and judgement making critical decisions and recommendations.
3. Capable of working within a fast-paced and flexible team.
4. Good listener and open to learning from others.
5. Excellent organisational skills / self-motivation / self-starter.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication and IT skills.
