We are actively seeking to hire a new IT Support Specialist to assist with business growth and ongoing investment in our IT infrastructure & advancements in technology.
Role overview
The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing first and second line technical support to internal users, managing & maintaining company endpoints and systems, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations.
Working closely with our external Managed Service Provider (MSP) and senior management team, this role ensures issues are resolved quickly, systems remain secure and up to date, and staff receive effective technical assistance.
Key responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for internal IT issues via phone, email, or in person.
* Provide day-to-day support to end-users, resolving queries and issues & escalating complex issues to external managed service partner.
* Manage user onboarding, including account creation, permissions, and access to various systems.
* Configure, deploy, and maintain user laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals & manage necessary network cabling.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to align system capabilities with business needs & participate in strategy meetings to improve internal systems & review IT advancements such as AI, cloud migrations etc.
* Manage & maintain internal systems in partnership with IT vendors & MSP, including ERP system, Enterprise Content Management System & O365 applications.
* Maintain internal IT asset register and ensure accurate equipment tracking.
* Managing network cabling throughout the building.
* Assist with network troubleshooting (Wi-Fi, VPN, and basic connectivity).
* Manage IT Infrastructure upgrades & projects in partnership with MSP as and when required.
* Maintain documentation and internal IT procedures.
Skills and experience
* 2-4 years' experience in a similar IT support role.
* Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Azure, and AD.
* Familiarity with endpoint management and security tools.
* Basic networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, IP configuration, VPNs).
* Experience managing device updates, installations, and troubleshooting hardware faults.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and service-oriented approach.
Desirable
* Microsoft or CompTIA certifications (e.g. A+, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator).
* Experience / strong interest in AI applications & Power BI.
* Experience working alongside IT Managed Service Provider.
* Familiarity with Intune device management.
