About the Role
The University College Dublin seeks a renowned Professor/Full Professor of Advanced Manufacturing to join the School of Mechanical & Materials Engineering. As part of our esteemed institution, you will be expected to lead research and teaching initiatives that push the boundaries of this field.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement research programmes focusing on advanced manufacturing techniques, including additive manufacturing, digital manufacturing, physical metallurgy, materials processing and modelling, production engineering, and artificial intelligence/machine learning/data science.
* Contribute to the development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes related to Advanced Manufacturing.
* Promote strategic partnerships with Irish industry, as well as international academic and industry collaborations.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated expertise in advanced manufacturing, with a strong research and teaching profile.
* Experience in leading research programmes and managing multi-million euro budgets.
* A proven track record of securing funding from national and international sources.
