The Loading Bay/Dispatch supervisor will be responsible for daily Dispatch planning, overseeing and completing all aspects of dispatch, management. Key duties include supervising loading bay team, Managing daily intake and dispatch loads, Pallet cards, customer traceability dispatch files and CMR, Custom uploads, hygiene standards, managing dispatch around production schedules, optimizing operational processes, stock control, low down time, efficient dispatch control, quality assistance and liaising with other departments to meet production targets.Responsibilities:Ensure all quality, hygiene and health & safety policies are adhered to including manual handling practices.Ensure all standard operating procedures (SOP's) are adhered to.Ensure that product is picked to correctly meet order requirements and is rotated correctly with reference to batch numbers and dates.Accurately record all relevant information on the appropriate handhelds and system required by Accounts, Supply Chain, Production, Quality and the CustomerEnsure that picked pallets are built correctlyPicking orders to customer requirementsRotating stockto meet Customer Specifications,to avoid damage in transit,to give optimum Truck LoadingCarcass loadingto facilitate a high Stock Count Accuracy internally.Ensure that "a clean as you go policy" is adhered to at all times.Work to the Customer Order Distribution plan for the duration of the shift on a work to finish basis.Ensure the yard & outside of dispatch area is clean & maintained at all times during a shift to audit standardsFollow & enforce Standards across the siteSecure site after hours (Locking of main building, all access gates across the site & to check at regular intervals they remain secure)Provide access to site for confirmed vehicles out of normal hours via the secured front gate Interface with Hauliers/Drivers and ensure that the company is seen in a positive light.The loading & unloading of vehicles both inside & outside of the warehouse is done so in accordance with health & safety procedures & followed at all timeswork part of a teamorganise staff loading bay rotaSkills and RequirementsDriving LicenseFork lift licencePrevious experience within a Warehouse environment is desirableGood level of EnglishMust be flexible with working hoursJob Type: Full-time
