About the Opportunity
We are currently representing a market-leading distributor seeking a commercially astute Business Development Executive. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will take full ownership of a high-value portfolio of nominated corporate accounts. This is a strategic yet hands‑on role where you will turn business plans into practical, profitable growth while ensuring service proposition is seamlessly delivered across our branch network.
Key Responsibilities
Convert high‑level business plans into practical territory implementation plans to drive profitability across your nominated accounts.
Exceed sales and profitability targets within your account base, utilising Activity Based Management (ABM) principles to maximise return.
Maximise Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and customer data to effectively sell the company's value and service proposition.
Partner closely with the branch network, segments, and internal channels to ensure full buy‑in and flawless delivery of the service proposition to your clients.
Spot non‑segment accounts with major growth potential and support branch colleagues in elevating them to key account status.
Act as a senior member of the business team, contributing to strategic planning, budgeting, and providing structured performance reports to management.
Background Requirements
A proven track record within Electrical Wholesale Sales, industrial distribution, or a closely related trade/technical industry is highly desirable.
A full, clean Irish driving licence is essential for this field‑based position.
Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a straightforward, professional communication style.
Highly organised with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and budgets simultaneously.
Must have the permanent right to live and work in the Republic of Ireland.
