Perform Recruitment is seeking an experienced cost accountant to join a well-established food manufacturing company based in Drogheda. This role offers a unique blend of strategic and operational responsibilities, ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.

The successful candidate will play a key part in driving efficiency improvements, supporting business decision-making, and enhancing financial processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

2. Partner with factory teams to identify areas for cost reduction and performance improvement.

3. Develop and maintain detailed financial models to inform business decisions.

">
4. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reporting to stakeholders.

">
5. Own product costing and gross margin analysis by SKU.

">
6. Maintain accurate bills of materials (BOMs) and costing inputs.

">
7. Support pricing and new product launches through collaboration with commercial and finance teams.

">
8. Reconcile margin analysis across financial and commercial reports.

">
9. Contribute to ongoing cost-reduction initiatives and systems improvement projects.

">
10. Enhance reporting tools and automate processes for greater efficiency.

">
11. Support capital expenditure evaluations and provide clear financial recommendations.

12. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.

">
13. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in cost accounting and financial management.

14. Communicate effectively with non-financial stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of financial data and analysis.

15. Provide high-quality financial analysis and insights to inform business decisions.

16. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve financial performance.

17. Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality of work.

18. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the organization's financial systems and processes.

19. Identify and capitalize on opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.

21. Stay current with changing regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Requirements:

23. 3+ years of experience in cost accounting, financial planning, or manufacturing finance.

">
24. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, data analysis, and simulations.

">
25. Strong experience in variance analysis, budgeting, and financial modeling.

">
26. Deep understanding of manufacturing cost structures and lean principles.

">
27. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

">
28. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

">
29. Experience with BI tools like Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau, or SQL.

">
30. Background in FMCG or food manufacturing.

">
31. Involvement in system implementations or automation projects.

32. Certification in Cost Accounting or Financial Management.
