Overview
eir evo talent are currently seeking applicants for a Senior Security Engineer/Analyst. This is a daily-rate contract position located with our client in Dublin. Hybrid options available.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in developing and implementing security policies, protocols, and procedures.
* Conduct security assessments through vulnerability testing and risk analysis.
* Perform both internal and external security audits.
* Analyse security breaches to identify the root cause.
* Coordinate security plans with outside vendors. Develop, implement, and monitor a strategic, comprehensive enterprise cybersecurity and IT risk management program.
* Work with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities.
* Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
* Stay current on IT security trends and news.
* Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related IT field.
* Professional certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or CompTIA Security+.
Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a security analyst/engineering role.
* Proven experience in designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures.
* Experience planning, researching, and developing security policies within an organisation.
* Cyber Forensics / Data Analysis using ELK stack experience.
* Experience working in information risk and security-related best practices and awareness of the policies, standards, and regulations (e.g., in areas such as IEC, NIST CSF, and NIS Directive).
Skills:
* Knowledge of potential attack vectors such as XSS, injection, hijacking, social engineering, etc.
* Proficient in firewalls, VPN, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS, web proxy/web gateway, Cloud Application security, and Security Audits.
* Strong understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
* An in-depth understanding of ICT systems with particular reference to cyber threats.
