Job Title: Credit Risk Specialist
The role involves working with customers to determine their repayment capacity position, agreeing on a proposal, preparing a credit application and progressing it through to our credit underwriters. Proactive contact is made with customers in relation to account arrears and finding the most appropriate solutions for them.
We will provide extensive training to equip you with the right tools to successfully complete the role. Your key responsibilities include assessing customer proposals, preparing credit applications and making recommendations to our credit underwriting team for decision, in line with prevailing credit policies.
You will be the personal point of contact by phone for our SME customers who are in financial difficulty or may be going into financial difficulty. This includes answering their questions over the phone quickly and efficiently in relation to their account.
To succeed in this role, you will require strong customer engagement and negotiation skills. You must also have a good understanding of APA/QFA and experience in SME credit assessment.
