NexVentur is seeking a Civil Site Engineer to join our clients’ team, a Civil & Groundworks contractor in the Southwest region.Our client has Civil & Groundworks projects ongoing in the Clare, Limerick & Tipperary regions, consisting of Earthworks, Piping, Drainage, Ducting, general civil & groundworks projects, on commercial sites.3+ years’ work guaranteed in the region.This role is central to project delivery, ensuring that technical specifications are met, site surveys are accurate, and maintaining our clients’ reputation for delivering precision in groundworks, on time and within budget.Role & ResponsibilitiesPerform accurate setting out of civil engineering works, including drainage systems, foundations, services, and road infrastructure using GPS and Total Station equipment.Interpret and check architectural and engineering drawings, ensuring that all works align with the latest project plans and specifications.Maintain detailed daily site diaries, as-built drawings, and quality records. Track project progress against schedules and budgets.Support the management of on-site labour and subcontractors, ensuring work is carried out efficiently and to the required quality standards.Ensure all activities comply with Health & Safety regulations and company safety protocols, conducting toolbox talks and site inductions where necessary.Co-ordinate the ordering and control of materials on-site and manage plant/machinery requirements to minimise waste and maximise productivity.Act as a key point of contact for client representatives, design teams, and local authorities to resolve technical challenges on-site.Skills & ExperienceThird Level Degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline is essential.1-2+ years of experience in a Site Engineer role, with a focus on civil engineering and groundworks (drainage, bulk excavation, and concrete works).Proficiency in setting out using EDM, Total Station, and GPS equipment.AutoCAD skills for data manipulation and producing as-built drawings.Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.Strong communication, organisational and timekeeping skills.Irish drivers licence, valid Safepass & Manual Handling.Pay and packageSalary €40,000 - €55,000 depending on experience.Company vehicle and fuel card.If you are interested in this role, please liaise with Jimmy, and email a CV to jimmy@nexventur.com
