Job Title: Accommodation and Hotel Public Areas Supervisor
Report to: Accomodation Manager

Job Description:
Accommodation in a fully furnished apartment is available to the successful applicant for this position
applicants applying for this job must have at least 6 months supervisory work experience in the hotel/hospitality industry
· to report to the Accommodation Manager and supervise all functions with the accommodation area to include the daily cleaning and maintenance of the hotel bedrooms, executive rooms, public areas
This position can be either a part-time 3 day week position or a full time position combined with other morning supervisory responsibilities.
· To liaise with the night staff for a pass over
· To compile duty lists for accommodation staff and allocate room / public area lists / deep clean lists
· to ensure that all staff arrive on time, and in a full and clean uniform, ensure that they get rest breaks and complete their rostered shift
· to communicate the daily business clearly to staff and maintain clear lines of communication at all times with the team
· to complete the accommodation / public areas checklists on a daily basis and retain on file
· to ensure that the daily "housekeeping" lists are retained on file
· to maintain/control linen supplies and order cleaning products for this department
· ensure that all lost property is reported to reception immediately, recorded
· in the lost property book, stored safely
· to ensure all maintenance work in the above areas are reported / rectified prior to releasing rooms back to reception. Arrange repairs if necessary.
· to liaise with reception staff frequently in regards to the availability of rooms
· to inform management immediately of damages in the accommodation department and/or public areas
· to check all rooms with the arrivals record and inform reception of any changes
· to liaise with reception at all times and be aware of changes in the reservations system
· to assist in compiling the roster for the accommodation department weekly and apply changes to rosters when the business increases/decreases
· to carry out training of staff and ensure that the company's health, safety, hygiene, security and manual handling regulations are adhered to
· to attend training courses when requested to do so
· any other reasonable requests made by management from time to time
