The Office of Public Works (OPW) is a key service provider to the Government of Ireland, playing a central role in protecting communities through its work in Flood Risk Management and Coastal Change Monitoring. This work includes designing and delivering effective flood relief measures, integrating climate adaptation strategies and providing expert advice to Government on flood risk and mitigation policies.
OPW now have vacancies for GIS Officer’s (Grade III). These are entry-level positions, suitable for recent graduates or early-career professionals. GIS Officer’s (Grade III) support the collection, analysis, and management of spatial and non-spatial data. They work with teams across the OPW and with external partners to ensure data quality and develop geospatial tools that inform planning, policy, and operations.
