Job Description
The role supports the Finance Manager in preparing and managing the organisation’s annual and members’ budgets. Key responsibilities include monitoring expenditure, analysing budget variances, and maintaining accurate financial records using Sage Accounts and Excel. The position involves managing monthly invoicing, receivables, payables, payroll analysis, and recharges to ensure effective cash flow and timely reporting. The postholder will compile financial data for monthly revenue and expense reports, ensuring members’ accounts remain accurate and compliant. They will work closely with the Finance Manager and Member Relations Team to support both financial and governance compliance. Attendance at Finance and Risk Committee meetings may be required. The successful candidate will keep up to date with current accounting and charity regulations, including Charity Law and SORP requirements, and carry out other finance‑related tasks as directed by the Finance Manager.
