Senior EHS Manager - InterimAre you the right applicant for this opportunity Find out by reading through the role overview below.Based in Dublin6 Month FTC (Potential to extend)Job OverviewThe Senior EHS Manager will be responsible for developing, maintaining and implementing the company Integrated Health, Safety and Environment Management System (IMS) and will support all levels of the organisation to implement safe systems of work and safe behavioural practices. A key element of the role will be supporting the transition of Dublin into a new Division, working with the wider UK EHS team to align and develop the Dublin IMS to ensure commonality of systems, processes and procedures. The Senior EHS Manager will coach, liaise and collaborate with the workforce, senior management and union members to drive continual improvement to ensure the working environment is made progressively safer and highlight EHS objectives and progress through internal and external communications. This position reports directly to the Head of EHS and has one direct report, an EHS Advisor who has recently transitioned from Operations into the role.
A key element of this role will be to develop and support this direct report to the extent that on completion of the role, the direct report has reached the level that they can transition to the role of EHS Manager for the Dublin site.Key Responsibilities:Advise on changes to working practices to promote EHS and compliance with legislation.Carry out regular site inspections to ensure all policies and procedures are properly implemented and being adhered to.Lead in house training with managers and employees regarding EHS issues and risks.Keep up to date and maintain a working knowledge of the appropriate legislation and developments which affect the industry.Ensure that accidents and incidents are appropriately documented, investigated and reported in line with current legislation and internal requirements.Monitor the content of the EHS induction for all employees and site visitors.
