Overview of role:
We are seeking a motivated and empathetic Basic Grade Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy services to both inpatients and outpatients, contributing to the hospital's commitment to excellence in patient care.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Carry out comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and develop individualised treatment plans
Deliver exercise-based rehabilitation, manual therapy and education across orthopaedics, respiratory, pelvic health, and general medical caseloads in an in-patient setting.
Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure integrated care pre and post-operatively
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with hospital policies
Participate in departmental audits, service development initiatives, and continuing professional development (CPD) activities
Educate patients and families on recovery strategies and self-management techniques
Adhere to professional standards and regulatory guidelines (CORU, ISCP)
Qualifications & Experience:
BSc/MSc in Physiotherapy (or equivalent)
CORU registration, or registration pending, with recognition of qualification complete.
Membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) desirable
Clinical experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting preferred
Evidence of CPD in the area of pelvic health desirable
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
