Accounting and Bookkeeping Professional Sought
We are seeking a skilled Accounting and Bookkeeping professional to join our team. This is a maternity leave contract.
Responsibilities:
To ensure the accurate and timely completion of payroll and accounting tasks, and to assist senior professionals on assignments.
Processing payroll records for clients on a weekly, fortnightly, monthly and yearly basis.
Preparing and reconciling payroll returns as required.
Preparing VAT returns and associated bookkeeping as needed from provided financial records.
Preparing and reconciling RCT and subcontractor control accounts.
Reporting of RCT/subcontractors and contracts as necessary on ROS.
Completing off-site accounting work for clients (reporting to management where applicable).
Preparing sole trader accounts to review stage.
Assisting audit staff on audit and exempt assignments to trial balance stage / review stage.
Liaising with clients to ensure timely provision of financial records.
Addressing client queries as they arise or referring them to the appropriate manager.
Covering administrative duties as needed.
Requirements:
Relevant accounting experience
Practice experience beneficial
Strong Excel skills and proficiency in accounting software
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills
