The Training Instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and induction sessions to new and existing Caregiving staff, ensuring compliance with Dovida & HSE standards. This is a new role to Dovida Cork and we are looking for someone with strong teaching and mentoring skills, empathy and attention to detail to support our team of Caregivers in delivering excellent home care services.The Training Instructor will work between both Cork South (based in Bessboro Rd, Blackrock) and Cork North (based in Shanakiel). The role is hybrid allowing the Instructor to prepare and complete follow up administration from home. Alternatively you can apply directly: ResponsibilitiesDeliver engaging, high-quality teaching and learning sessions that reflect best practices in home care.Work collaboratively with Shared Service Recruitment Team, HR departments, and management teams to meet training objectives.Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.Provide individualised support to Caregivers, addressing their specific learning needs.Conduct and oversee assessments during Induction Training, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Ensure training delivery meets the requirements and quality standards set by Dovida.Monitor, track, and report on KPIs related to training performance and outcomes.Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records to support monitoring and reporting.Deliver Manual Handling and Patient Handling classes, ensuring all equipment used is regularly serviced and compliant.Provide timely refresher Manual and Patient Handling training sessions for existing staff.Complete the New Caregiver NCCA following Induction Training.Deliver our Dementia programme in partnership with City and Guilds.QualificationsTrain the Trainer Delivery and Evaluation – Level 6 qualification.(Mandatory)Manual Handling Instructor – Level 6 qualification. (Desirable, if not obtained sponsorship for the qualification can be organised)Patient Handling Instructor – Level 6 qualification ( Desirable, if not obtained sponsorship for the qualification can be organised )Minimum of one year's experience in Care Management within a Home Care setting would be preferred. (Extensive Caregiver experience may also be considered.)
