Overview
AMF Consulting is partnering with a well-established electrical contractor
to recruit an Electrical Tenders and Estimating Engineer to support continued growth across commercial, industrial and residential projects in Ireland.
The Role
This role is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive and compliant electrical tenders and quotations.
You will work closely with engineering, procurement and delivery teams to ensure bids are commercially sound and technically robust, with smooth handover into project execution.
Responsibilities
Review and manage electrical tender opportunities across public and private sector platforms
Assess drawings, specifications, BOQs and employer requirements
Prepare detailed electrical estimates covering labour, materials, subcontractors, overheads and risk
Compile full tender submissions including pricing, technical documentation and clarifications
Ensure compliance with ET101, Irish Building Regulations and relevant standards
Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, clients and consultants on technical and commercial matters
Respond to post-tender queries and support value engineering where required
Prepare handover packs for successful projects and support budget setup
Maintain tender registers and provide reporting on pipeline and outcomes
Requirements
Applicants must hold one of the following:
QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Craft
QQI Level 7 Ordinary Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
Time-served Electrical Apprenticeship holding a National Craft Certificate – Electrician, with strong estimating or technical office experience
Experience in electrical estimating or tendering within the Irish construction sector
Strong understanding of commercial and industrial electrical installations
Familiarity with Irish procurement and tendering processes
High attention to detail with strong numerical and organisational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and standard office systems
Confident communicator with a collaborative approach
