Manufacturing Engineering Change Coordinator
The Engineering Change Note (ECN) Co-ordinator will be responsible for maintaining process by inputting bill of materials (BOM) per the new product introduction (NPI) and customer revision change process, obtaining material pricing for the purchasing department and verifying completion of documentation packages.
* Maintains data storage on the Jabil computer network and master files per ISO standards.
* Assists with the preparation and implementation of ECO’s for manufacturing assembly instructions.
* Assists with the interpretation of customer documentation, drawings and blueprints for defining manufacturing process flow.
* Assists with labour quoting.
* Works with the process area and engineering to define process flow.
* Updates SAP routing and production status as directed.
* May assist in publishing weekly and monthly reports of department performance in accordance to established standards.
* Coordinates the ECN activities for the business unit and work with other appropriate personnel to resolve problems that result from ECN activity.
* Assists in the timely completion of ECNs through documentation, validation/approval and basic input of materials and drawing information into the SAP system.
* Verifies ECN documentation packages for completeness and accuracy and follow up on completed ECNs to ensure continued accuracy.
* Communicates ECN impact with appropriate personnel including engineering, materials and production personnel.
* Assists in transacting excess and obsolete inventory.
* Responsible for maintaining bills of material in SAP.
* Maintains appropriate additional documentation for process metrics.
* May update and maintain DOC program with current documentation.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
* May be required to work overtime.
Job Qualifications
* Proven experience of Change and Configuration Management within an engineering function.
* Conduct BOM audits to ensure new releases are accurately coded.
* Track, communicate, and recommend solutions on a regular basis for backlog and progress.
* Advanced PC skills with experience in ERP or other software packages is highly desirable.
* Must be able to clearly communicate requirements to other individuals involved in the ECN process.
* Must be organised and self-starter.
* Experience using Microsoft word, excel, outlook and teams.
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers.
* Be familiar with Engineering Organizations and how they function.
* Highly motivated and quick learner.
