Financial Accountant - Cork Our client, a leading name in the retail industry, with a strong presence across Ireland, is currently seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to join its established finance team.

In this role, youll report directly to the Head of Finance and work closely with a collaborative team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, partnering with senior leadership to monitor spend and deliver insightful variance analysis.
Manage the monthly financial close process, providing analysis and commentary for management.
Support the preparation of annual financial statements and external audits.
Contribute to business planning and evaluation of future commercial opportunities.
Provide backup support to Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Purchasing functions as needed.
Oversee cash-flow management and prepare relevant financial reports.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with 13 years of post-qualification experience.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and non-finance stakeholders.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities.
Capable of analysing complex financial data and offering strategic insights.
Strong team player with a collaborative approach and cross-functional engagement experience.
