About the Role
Aramark Property is currently recruiting a General Maintenance Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will report to the maintenance team manager and be responsible for general maintenance work serving the Aramark Property client portfolio. You will tackle a daily list of job tasks/tickets that must be completed and work both independently and as part of a team across various property types. Excellent time‑keeping and organisational skills are essential, as is preparation of necessary supplies for each task.
Responsibilities
Complete multi‑disciplined maintenance and repairs inside and outside properties (plumbing, plastering, carpentry, groundwork, painting).
Maintain specified standards of work and keep site logs, records, and documentation up to date.
Exercise initiative and independence on site to resolve issues.
Communicate regularly with Property Managers and collaborate with workers and other professionals when necessary.
Drive company vehicles responsibly.
Ensure hand and power tools comply with health and safety regulations and are stored safely and tidily.
Guard against health, safety, and welfare risks and report concerns to the manager or Health & Safety Representative.
Qualifications
Valid Safe Pass.
Full, clean Irish or EU driving licence.
Trade skills and experience in carpentry, bricklaying, ground works, plastering, minor plumbing and electrical repairs.
Experience using hand tools.
Excellent problem‑solving and fault‑finding skills.
Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
Preferred Skills
Experience in property/facilities management, healthcare, education, or corporate environments.
Manual Handling, Working at Height, and Confined Space certification.
