We are currently seeking an experienced Document Controller to support major renewable energy EPC projects. This role will play a critical part in ensuring that all project documentation is accurately managed, controlled, and compliant throughout the full project lifecycle.
The Role
As Document Controller, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate records and documentation across all phases of large-scale renewable energy projects. You will ensure controlled documents are properly maintained, distributed, tracked, and archived in line with internal standards, ISO requirements, and client expectations.
Key Accountabilities
1. Establish and maintain document control systems and workflows for EPC projects
2. Receive, review, log, distribute, and archive all incoming and outgoing documentation, including drawings, technical submittals, RFIs, method statements, permits, and correspondence
3. Ensure version control and correct status labelling of all controlled documents
4. Coordinate with internal teams such as engineering, procurement, construction, and HSE, as well as external stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
5. Maintain accurate, up-to-date electronic and physical records with full traceability
6. Support quality assurance processes during audits and inspections
7. Assist in compiling project handover documentation, including O&M manuals, as-built drawings, and certificates
8. Produce document control reports, outstanding registers, and compliance checklists
9. Train and support project teams in document control systems and best practices
10. Carry out additional duties as assigned by management
Requirements
11. Minimum of 2 years' experience in document control, ideally within construction, engineering, or renewable energy
12. Strong understanding of ISO quality standards and document control procedures
13. Experience using document management systems such as SharePoint, Aconex, Procore, or similar
14. Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills
15. Ability to manage high volumes of documentation under tight deadlines
16. Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders
17. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
18. Right to work in Ireland
Preferred Experience
19. Previous involvement in solar PV or renewable EPC projects
20. Familiarity with engineering terminology and technical documentation
21. Experience supporting QA/QC, HSE, or project delivery teams
