What The Day Will Look Like
As an Insurance Associate Manager, you will work as part of the Aon Captive Management team to deliver top quality service to our client captive insurance and reinsurance companies.
Duties
* Communicate with and demonstrate a technical ability to clients in the delivery of the services required for each client re/insurance company
* Be responsible for the insurance and claims functions of a portfolio of captive insurance and reinsurance companies
* Ensure that all clients’ insurance and claims activities are performed efficiently, effectively and accurately and that all deadlines are met
* Be responsible for the proper liaison between the Insurance function and other functions (Actuarial, Finance, Compliance, etc) and third-party service providers (TPA Claims managers, auditors, actuaries etc)
* Complete Claims reporting and analysis
* Complete regulatory reporting in line with Solvency II legislation and guidelines
* Attend and present at the captive insurance company Board Meetings
* Run the insurance premium cycle from invoicing and receipt
* Coordinate Insurance Premium Taxes
* Collaborate with other functions, e.g., Actuarial, Finance and Compliance
* Collaborate with third-party service providers, including loss adjusters, brokers, auditors, and actuaries

The Successful Individual Will
Skills and experience that will lead to success
* Have a third level qualification and/or part or fully qualified Insurance qualification
* Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of any of the following Insurance Company management, Captive Insurance Company Management, insurance broking, insurance underwriting, claims management or corporate insurance management
* Have an understanding of the regulatory and compliance environment which governs Insurance and Reinsurance companies
* Possess good communication and teamwork skills
* Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel
* Be open to learning and developing new knowledge, skills and attributes
* Be fluent in English, as written and spoken English is essential for this role. Knowledge of other European languages can be advantageous
