We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Administrator to join our team. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting supplier and customer account management, and assisting the Financial Director with reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Input receipted purchase orders onto the DMS system.
* Liaise with the parts department to resolve missing invoices or purchase order discrepancies.
* Maintain a log of all returned parts and ensure these match corresponding credit notes (information supplied by Stores).
* Reconcile supplier month-end statements with the DMS system.
* Record daily cash, cheque, and credit card payments from stores and workshops.
* Provide reception support, including answering incoming calls not directed through the automated system.
* Produce accurate management reports for the Financial Director.
* Work closely with the parts department in relation to management reporting requirements.
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in an administrative or accounts role (automotive/retail sector advantageous but not essential).
* Strong numerical and data entry skills with high attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with financial/DMS systems.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
* Professional and friendly telephone manner.
