The Practice Development Coordinator (Assistant Director of Midwifery and Nursing grade) is a member of the Senior Midwifery Management Team with overall responsibility for midwifery & other students on clinical placement whilst undertaking the educational programs in Trinity College Dublin and other HEIs. The post holder will also be responsible for the roles and functions of the Practice Development Unit (PDU) at the Rotunda Hospital. The post holder will be required to support the Director of Midwifery and Nursing with the operational management of the Hospital on an 'as required' basis.Qualifications and Experience:Essential:Be a registered Midwife & Nurse or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)Hold an appropriate healthcare related Primary DegreeHold an appropriate Management qualificationQualification at Master's level in a health/related areaHave a minimum of 7 years post registration experience to include comprehensive midwifery, nursing and managerial experienceHave experience of working with Student Midwives (BSc & HDip) in clinical practiceDesirable:Experience in teaching and assessment courseSkills and KnowledgeAbility to communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary teamExcellent interpersonal, influencing and organisational skillsEvidence of leadership and motivation skillsAbility to resolve conflictsAll informal enquires in relation to the above should be directed to Ms. Fiona Hanrahan, Director of Midwifery & Nursing at Applications should include a current Curriculum Vitae and cover letter quoting the relevant reference number.
