Job Title: Building Designer (Construction Timber Frame)
Location:
We are seeking an experienced Designer to join our in-house design team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Create and manage design programmes in line with client contractual agreements.
2. Provide support and advice on all technical aspects of the business, including internal & external queries.
3. Work closely with the estimating team to contribute technical knowledge and value engineering at the tender stage.
4. Collaborate with the Production Manager to ensure all information for manufacture aligns with manufacturing requirements and improve processes where required.
5. Work as part of a team of in-house designers to meet targets and report on progress.
6. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with key accounts across Ireland.
7. Liaise with client design teams and external consultants regarding live projects.
8. Liaise with site teams concerning arising queries.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
1. Proficient in AutoCAD software.
2. Knowledge of Digital Project Delivery principles.
3. Ability to develop drawings for new and existing projects.
4. Ability to read and understand architectural/engineering drawings.
5. Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of products.
6. Strong analytic/problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
8. Dependable and flexible.
9. Enthusiastic & self-motivated.
10. Results-driven while participating in a team environment.
11. Strong communication skills (oral and written).
12. Excellent attention to detail.
Requirements:
1. 3-4 years experience in Timber Frame, steel gauge or modular build design.
