We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our finance team. This role is critical in identifying funding opportunities, managing R&D tax claims, and driving cost efficiency initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify available grants and funding (R&D, Capital, Training, Green) from national, EU, and private sources.
* Build and maintain relationships with funding organizations to ensure maximum opportunities are leveraged.
* Prepare and submit grant proposals and R&D tax credit claims.
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify R&D projects and improve product cost efficiencies.
* Prepare month‑end product and customer profitability reports and analyse cost variances.
Requirements
* 10+ years post‑qualification experience (PQE).
* Experience with accounting software and systems.
* Proven experience preparing and filing grant claims desirable but not essential; R&D tax claims experience highly desirable.
* Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
* Team player with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
