Skills and Attributes IMC Specialist RegistrationMinimum of 3 years certified postgraduate training in paediatric gastroenterology Description Purpose of Role:The appointee will deliver all elements of the national gastroenterology service in collaboration with current consultants in the GHIFT department. Responsibilities include participation in clinical service rosters, on-call duties, departmental administrative work, local committee work, and representing the department as needed. Mandatory Professional Qualifications and Experience a) Registration as a paediatric specialist in the Specialist Division of the Medical Council of Ireland.b) At least 3 years of certified postgraduate training in paediatric gastroenterology.The successful candidate must register as a specialist within 180 days of the interview and before commencing employment. Provisional appointments may be considered in exceptional circumstances. Continuous registration with the Medical Council of Ireland is required, with annual proof of registration submitted to Children's Health Ireland. If not registered at the time of appointment, the post may be offered to another candidate.
