The Opportunity
On behalf of a prestigious, family-run renewable energy firm based in West Cork, we are seeking an experienced Solar PV Roofer/Installer to join their team as they expand operations across Cork County.
Our client has been a market leader since 2008, known for their "safety-first" culture and uncompromising standards in workmanship. Due to a massive surge in their residential and commercial pipeline throughout the county, they are looking for a technical expert who is ready to transition into a Team Lead position within the next 6–12 months.
Key Responsibilities
* Specialist Installations: Lead the roofing side of Solar PV projects across Cork, working on slate, tile, metal, and agricultural roofing systems.
* Safety & Scaffolding: Oversee the erection and dismantling of aluminium towers, ensuring 100% compliance with H&S protocols.
* Project Documentation: Capture site data and photographs for SEAI compliance and project sign-off.
* Collaboration: Work in tandem with the electrical team and Project Managers to ensure a "right-first-time" delivery.
* Client Relations: Act as the on-site point of contact for homeowners and businesses across Cork C
Candidate Requirements
* Proven Track Record: At least 2 years of roofing experience and 1+ year specifically in Solar PV mounting/installation.
* Local Knowledge: Based in or willing to travel across Cork County (on-site parking available at the West Cork base).
* Technical Skill: A trade qualification (Carpentry or Roofing) is highly desirable but not essential if balanced by experience.
* Leadership Qualities: You must be self-motivated, reliable, and possess the communication skills necessary to lead your own crew in the future.
* Logistics: Full Irish driving license and the right to work in Ireland are mandatory.
