Assistant Project Manager – Data Centres and Colocation Facilities (Dublin)
Join AECOM as a Assistant Project Manager, specialising in data centres and colocation facilities, supporting the delivery of mission‑critical projects in our Dublin office.
The Opportunity
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support the successful delivery of mission‑critical projects from early‑stage concept and design development through procurement, construction, and commissioning, ensuring projects meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Support the management of projects from inception to completion, including design coordination, procurement activities, construction oversight, and commissioning of data centre environments
Work closely with senior project managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver capital projects within live or new‑build colocation settings
Act as a day‑to‑day point of contact for clients, ensuring technical, operational, and commercial requirements are clearly understood and achieved
Contribute to the delivery of project management commissions, focusing on quality, schedule, cost control, and risk management
Coordinate and monitor project activities on moderately complex, mission‑critical projects, ensuring alignment with programme milestones and operational constraints
Support the performance and continuous improvement of the project management team, particularly in relation to data centre best practices and evolving technologies
Gain and apply experience across all RIBA Stages (0–7), particularly the specialised requirements of data centre and colocation infrastructure, including resilience, redundancy, and commissioning processes
Qualifications
A postgraduate qualification in Project Management, Construction, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline
Currently working towards Chartered status with one of the following professional bodies: RICS / CIOB / ICE / RIBA / Engineers Ireland
Membership or affiliation with APM would be advantageous
