We have a vacancy for an Accounts Payable person/General Accounts Assistant.

Based in Tullamore, the company is a retail company with a varied client base. This role will assist the accounts department with an initial focus on Accounts Payable. The role is part time.

The role includes:

* Account and statement reconciliations of up to 200 Creditor accounts
• Ensure invoices are processed using a 3-way matching process (invoice is matched to purchase orders & good receipt notes) while also being accurately processed in accordance with Company/Revenue/Company law procedures.
• Collaborate with internal staff members in response to discrepancies and inquiries.
• Ensuring payments are made and allocated correctly. Compiling & verifying Electronic Creditor Payment files on time weekly/monthly
• Creating relevant reports e.g. Creditor days, Creditor Listings/Reconciliations, Creditor payments
• Knowledge/ability to bring accounts to Trial Balance stage. Understanding of General Ledger, journals etc.
• Provide back up for other members of the Accounts team as required.
• Bank Reconciliations
• VAT 3/RTD Return compilation and submission
• Debtor receipt allocation & reconciliations / Credit Control / dealing with Debtor queries
• Payroll processing
• Ad hoc admin duties as required.

Requirements

* Previous accounts experience in a similar role is essential. ATI qualification or similar an advantage
• Strong PC skills including Excel, Word, Outlook are essential. Excel sills must include ability to prepare reports from raw data (.csv files etc.), Data Sorting, Tables, Analysis and Summaries. Ability to use/create Macros in Excel. Good general IT skills required.
• Experience with SAP / Sage Line 50 or similar. Proficiency with payroll software (Collsoft, Micropayetc)
• Knowledge of HR / Employment Law
• Be able to take personal responsibility. Have a flexible and positive attitude towards work.
• Strong communication, organisational and administrative skills. Excellent Attention to detail and accuracy.
