The successful candidate will deliver high-quality Storyboards for the assigned project within the agreed scope. This is achieved by collaborating with the Director, working closely with the client, and providing strong leadership for Storyboard Artists.Please note that our studio operates on a hybrid model, with two days per week required in the studio.This is a Fixed-Term, 12 month contract based in our Dublin Studio.The successful candidate must have the right to work in Ireland for the duration of the contract.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the Director to achieve the highest quality Storyboards possible within the constraints of the project's resources, assumptions, and timeline.Take day-to-day ownership of all episodes through Storyboarding and Storyboard revisions.Review scripts and ensure Storyboard assumptions can be adhered to.Contribute to technical review meetings for each episode, and facilitate discussion with the Art Director and CG Supervisor regarding staging and asset requirements related to the storyboardingProvide launch notes in writing and with visual references for Storyboard LaunchLead launch calls with Storyboard ArtistsReview Storyboards on an on-going basis, in sequences, for Rough and Final Board and give direction and mentorship to Artists to achieve best resultsIf required, review storyboard panel revisions and approve them for editorial.Review and respond to client feedback in relation to Storyboarding.Deliver Animatic Build to DirectorInput on casting and recruitment for Storyboard team.Weekly 1:1s with the Storyboard Artists to give continuous feedback on their deliverables.Key RequirementsKnowledge:A comprehensive understanding of the 3D animation pipeline and processes.Full proficiency in storyboarding.Excellent drawing skills for character posing and expressions.Strong understanding of storytelling, camera and staging.Strong communication skills.Experience:Previous position as Storyboard Artist or Storyboard Supervisor in at least two long-form animation productions.Experience in creatively leading artistic staff.A successful track record of working with clients.Technical Skills:Expert in Storyboard Pro and Photoshop.Knowledgeable in Outlook, Excel, and Teams.Knowledgeable with Shotgun or database tracking software.Salary51, ,000.00
