WithinCO+I, the Core Datacenter Services (CDS)teamis responsible for improving overall availability and efficiency for Microsoft’s cloud business. We have multiple teams focused on both Microsoft and Lessor datacenter performance and all aspects of datacenterutilizationeffectiveness that includes power,waterand labor.
We are seekingDatacenter Distribution Managertosupport the Operational Supply Chain across datacenters in our Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. This role will own developing the strategy to scale and optimize our datacenter transportation, warehousing, and distribution to support critical environment spares and Microsoft’s AI infrastructure delivery.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
* Experience managing operational logistics, inclusive of domestic transportation, international transportation/customs compliance, and warehouse operations within Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
* Experience managing third-party vendors for transportation and warehousing services
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Statistics, or related field AND experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, operations-related roles, or engineering OR equivalent experience.
Experience setting up and managing industry standard transportation management systems (TMS)
While not required, we also look for the followingPreferred Qualifications:
* Experience in Cloud Computing Infrastructure/High Tech logistics and distribution.
* Master's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Statistics, or related field AND experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, or operations-related roles OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Statistics, or related field AND experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, or operations-related roles OR equivalent experience.
* Experience setting up and managing industry standard warehouse management systems (WMS)
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
* Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Responsibilities
* Core Focus: Manageand evaluatethe logistics operations of multiple distribution centers across North and South America, including aligning operations and improvingupon key performance indicators (KPIs) at scale.
* Measure Success: Manage processes, cadence, rhythm, throughput, and capacity standards of off-site locations. Quantifyand communicatethe business value created through distribution and fulfillment operations, including measurable impact on cost, cycle time, and carbon emissions.
* Drive Continuous Improvement: Identifyand act on opportunities to further develop logistics operations. Evaluateand driveimprovementacross third-partyor contracted logistics providers, assessing the impact of changes and systems enhancements to minimize risks while optimizing performance.
* Benchmarking: Conduct competitive analysis on integrated logistics with benchmarks for the industry. Independently seek out market insights and best practices. Use these insights to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
* Vendor Management: Lead third-partycarrier and warehouse management processes, such as selection, qualification, performance evaluation, and risk assessment. Set operational standards, define best practices, and ensure compliance.
* Strategic Collaboration: Leadlong-term strategic alignment with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.Developnetwork design flow and models, leveraging expertise with network optimization,modeling, and simulation tools. Establishcontinuity plans for strategic and operational success.
