Occupational Therapist - Adult Disabilities
The successful candidate will provide high-quality occupational therapy services to adults with physical, intellectual, and/or developmental disabilities within a multidisciplinary team.
* Deliver comprehensive assessments for adults with complex disability needs.
* Develop, implement, and review evidence-based intervention programmes.
* Support clients in areas including self-care, daily living skills, mobility, sensory needs, communication supports, and vocational/leisure activities.
* Provide specialist advice on assistive technology, seating, environmental adaptations, and housing needs.
* Work collaboratively with families, carers, and community agencies to promote continuity of care.
* Contribute to discharge planning and integrated care pathways.
* Lead clinical teams, supervise junior staff, and mentor students and therapy assistants.
* Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records in line with professional standards.
* Engage in continuous professional development and maintain registration with the relevant authority.
* Prioritise and manage a caseload efficiently using agreed referral systems.
Requirements:
* Postgraduate degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent qualification).
* Professional registration with the relevant authority.
* Minimum 3 years post-qualification clinical experience.
* Desirable: Previous experience in a hospital or multidisciplinary team setting, training in specialist areas, or experience in supervision or service development.
