Job TitleInside Sales Representative – Laboratory Division / IVDLocationKildare, Ireland (Hybrid)Reports toSales DirectorJob PurposeThe Inside Sales Representative will support revenue growth within the Laboratory Division by managing existing customer accounts, generating new sales opportunities, and providing high-quality commercial and technical support to laboratory customers. The role will work closely with field sales, customer service, and technical teams to deliver an excellent customer experience.Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business DevelopmentManage and grow a portfolio of existing laboratory customers through proactive account managementIdentify and qualify new sales opportunities within the lab and diagnostics marketPromote laboratory consumables, reagents, equipment, and associated servicesPrepare and follow up on quotations, tenders, and pricing proposalsAchieve agreed sales targets and KPIsCustomer EngagementAct as a key point of contact for laboratory customers via phone, email, and virtual meetingsBuild strong, long-term customer relationships based on trust and product knowledgeRespond promptly to customer enquiries, product questions, and pricing requestsCoordinate with field sales representatives to support larger or complex opportunitiesProduct & Market KnowledgeDevelop strong knowledge of the company's laboratory product portfolioStay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needsSupport product launches, promotions, and campaigns within the lab divisionInternal Collaboration & AdministrationMaintain accurate records of customer interactions and opportunities in the CRM systemLiaise with logistics, finance, and technical support teams to ensure smooth order processingPrepare sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updatesEnsure compliance with company procedures and relevant medical / regulatory standardsKey RequirementsExperiencePrevious experience in inside sales, customer service, or sales support (medical, laboratory, life sciences, or technical sales experience is highly desirable)Experience working with CRM systems and sales reporting toolsExposure to laboratory environments or lab products is an advantageSkills & CompetenciesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsCommercially driven with a proactive sales mindsetExcellent organisation and time-management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a cross-functional teamConfident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Comfortable working in a target-driven environmentEducationThird-level qualification in Science, Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field is desirable but not essentialWorking ModelHybrid role : Combination of office-based work in Kildare and remote workingStandard business hours with flexibility depending on customer needs
