Galway Bay Hotel - one of Ireland's leading 4-star properties and a proud Great Place to Work - is currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Assistant to join our team. As Accounts Payable Assistant, you'll play a key role in our accounts and purchasing departments, working closely with the Financial Controller and Purchasing Manager. This temporary contract role offers valuable exposure to multiple departments within the hotel, making it an excellent opportunity to grow your career in hospitality finance.
Responsibilities:
* Use hotel procurement software to match orders, deliveries, and invoices.
* Investigate and resolve any pricing or quantity discrepancies with suppliers.
* Import invoices from the procurement system into the accounts system.
* Reconcile supplier accounts with statements and resolve any differences.
* Prepare the monthly supplier payment run.
* Assist in preparing analysis of key overhead accounts.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Holds a business degree or has previous accounts experience (desirable).
* Demonstrates excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
* Has a high degree of computer literacy.
* Is a team player, capable of meeting tight deadlines and working under pressure.
