Contract Duration: 6 months initially, with strong potential for extension

About the Role
We are currently partnering with a well-established client in the South East of Ireland to recruit experienced Level 2 Microsoft Support Engineers for an on-site contractor role. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy IT support environment and play a key part in delivering high-quality desktop and user support across a dynamic organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide Level 2 support for Microsoft desktop environments, including troubleshooting Windows OS, Office 365, Teams, and other standard business applications
* Handle escalations from Level 1 support and manage more complex desktop issues
* Support device imaging, deployment, and software installations
* Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings within Microsoft Active Directory
* Provide hands-on support for hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals)
* Maintain documentation for systems, procedures, and incident resolutions
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of issues
* Travel between local sites may be required; mileage will be reimbursed
Skills & Requirements
* Proven experience in a Level 2 IT support or desktop support role
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11, Office 365, Teams, and Active Directory
* Familiarity with device imaging, remote desktop tools, and troubleshooting hardware
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work independently and manage priorities
* Own transport and full Irish/EU driving licence required
* Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MD-100/101)
* Experience working in a fast-paced or multi-site environment
* Exposure to ITIL practices
