OverviewJoin to apply for the Project Controls Engineer role at RPS.RPS, a Tetra Tech company, is recruiting Project Control Engineer into our Project Management Office (PMO) to support and assist Project Managers across business sectors in the successful and efficient delivery of projects. The successful candidate will be accountable for supporting the performance of projects with a focus on budget, costs, schedule and risk.This is a hybrid role with offices in Dublin, Galway, Cork, Sligo and Kilkenny.RPS joined Tetra Tech in 2023, enabling us to combine our expertise with the reach and resources of a global organisation. What You Will Be DoingDay-to-day support and assistance to Project Managers in the management of diverse multi-disciplinary projects, teams, and stakeholders across a range of sectors.Liaison with internal stakeholders, Clients, third-party Consultants, Contractors, and other stakeholders as appropriate.Coordination, attendance and contribution to meetings and preparation of records of these meetings.Contribution to the development of the overall approach to the PMO to meet objectives and outcomes.Provision of specific assistance to Technical Project Manager to drive commercial performance and overall project delivery.Ensure implementation of best practice and corporate policies and practices in project delivery.Preparation and support in developing and maintenance of monthly reports for delivery to senior management.Critically review project documentation and track costs, programme, risk, resourcing, etc. to assess project health and identify issues early.Analysis of project data for trending, identify lessons learned and disseminate findings as system improvements.Assist in conducting in-house Project Management training as applicable.
Who We Are Looking ForRelevant Level 8 third-level qualification in civil engineering, project management or a related discipline.Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in project management, project delivery and execution across projects of varying size and complexity.Experience of working in a consulting and engineering company is essential.Experience of working in multi-disciplinary design teams over full project life cycle is essential.Experience of working on Building Facility projects is a key requirement.Chartered Engineer or Chartered Project Professional preferred.Qualification in project management such as PMP, PRINCE II advantageous.

Computer SkillsMS Office Suite (Excel)Scheduling tools (MS Project/Primavera P6)MS Power BIStrong communication skills (written and verbal)Leadership and people managementTechnical proficiency in project management, execution, and deliveryExperience in cost, programme, risk, and contract management across engineering projectsExperience in delivery of projects in engineering consultancies and/or construction projectsKnowledge of Health & Safety legislation and regulationsExperience with Integrated Management Systems & Standards (quality, environment, health & safety, data security, risk, BIM)Strong planning and organisational skillsAbility to set up procedures for information collection and reviewKnowledge of project and programme management methodologies and industry best practiceProven ability to manage complex issues and deliver results within timeframesStrong management skills including project management, procurement, contract management, financial and change managementExcellent communication skills and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary teamDemonstrated capability in developing, motivating, and engaging teams
QualificationsRelevant degree or higher diploma in quantity surveying, civil engineering, project management, or project controls, or related discipline
