A global insurance company is looking to hire a Commercial Underwriter as they continue to grow their team in Dublin. The company has offices worldwide and provides insurance across numerous products to a range of clients, focusing on expanding their Irish base long term, particularly in the Dublin office. In this role, the Commercial Underwriter will work with corporate clients and manage a portfolio of business. The position is new business focused, and the company seeks someone capable of turning around quotes in a fast-paced environment. The ideal background for the Underwriter is in Property or Casualty, but candidates from other areas of Commercial Underwriting with experience handling larger clients will also be considered.
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate and underwrite policies within Property and Casualty.
2. Collaborate with sub-brokers to understand their unique insurance needs.
3. Deal with corporate clients and manage relationships.
4. Review risks and underwrite new business.
Job Requirements:
1. CIP qualification or working towards the same.
2. Experience with Commercial Property or Casualty Insurance.
3. Knowledge of insurance industry regulations and best practices.
4. Track record dealing with corporate clients is advantageous.
