Constructions Operations Manager - Garden Rooms

Role
In response to our continued growth, we are now seeking a capable and experienced Construction Operations Manager to join our business.
Reporting directly to the owner, our Construction Operations Manager will take full ownership of project execution — from planning stages right through to handover.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with a background in project managing in modular or traditional on-site construction and who can manage multiple live projects, coordinate teams, and deliver consistently high-quality results on time and on budget.
Responsibilities
Project Delivery:
Using proven project management experience, manage end-to-end delivery of our room builds to clients, ensuring that SLAs, timelines, schedules, budgets and resourcing plans are in place.
Ensure quality control processes and checks are in place throughout the design and implementation process.
Maintain compliance with H&S during implementation.
Coordinate on-site activities and liaise with the client, guaranteeing a smooth handover to our client's delight.
Operations Management:
Oversee all construction operations including logistics, procurement, and supplier coordination.
Track project costs and maintain margin targets.
Implement processes to improve scheduling, delivery, and site efficiency.
Reporting on projects and costs to Managing Director.
People & Subcontractor Management
Coordinate subcontracting team and availability for projects.
Assign subcontractors and internal teams to projects, ensuring timelines and costs are met.
Monitor performance and site compliance by any third-party contractors.
Build trusted relationships with trades, suppliers, and contractors.
Manage a small team that supports operations.
Provide instruction, coaching, support and feedback to this team.
Process and system review / development
Conduct internal reviews, audits and checks on processes and refine as required (e.g., job tracking, checklists, scheduling systems).
Investigate systems and building methods that could be potential introduced to our business.
Continuous improvement on delivery processes and reporting methods.
Requirements
The person:
Degree in construction management or equivalent hands-on experience.
Formal Project Management training would be an advantage.
5+ years in project or operations management within the construction sector.
Experience with off-site or modular construction is an advantage but not a requirement.
Strong leadership, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
Enjoy leadership, decision making and leading a team.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and stay calm under pressure.
Proficiency with tools like Excel, Gantt charts, or construction scheduling software.
A proactive, dependable approach and a strong attention to detail.
Region: Greater Dublin Area and Leinster.
Contract Type: Permanent.
Hours per week: 40 hours.
