Our client is a rapidly expanding fintech who are in the process of building out their European presence. Over the past few years, they've experienced exponential growth leading to this carefully constructed plan to enter the European market and expand their offering to a wider customer base.
Coming as the next round of their top-down build there is a strong leadership team in place who are now seeking a dynamic and commercially minded Finance Manager to join the function. In this role you will work closely as a number two to the CFO, learning in a scaling business who have the architecture and support of a UK headquartered team. This is a hybrid role based in Central Dublin with 3 days on site.
The Role
As Finance Manager, you will play a central part in the day-to-day management of the finance function, supporting strategic decision-making, financial operations, and regulatory reporting. This Finance Manager opportunity would suit either a candidate seeking their first move from a BCM/WAM team at the Big 4 or a Financial Accountant with solid FS experience gained in a similar business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Reporting & Analysis:
* Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, statutory financial statements, and consolidated group reports.
* Deliver in-depth financial analysis to identify key trends, risks, and opportunities.
* Planning & Forecasting (FP&A):
* Contribute to the annual budgeting cycle, forecasting, and performance reporting.
* Prepare financial models and quarterly Board packs for senior stakeholders.
* Compliance & Regulatory Management:
* Ensure adherence to local and international financial regulations.
* Manage external audits and tax compliance (CT, VAT, DWT).
* Support regulatory returns, including reporting to the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI).
* Liaise with auditors, regulators, and banking partners.
* Operations & Risk Management:
* Oversee cash flow management, payments, and collections.
* Maintain and enhance financial frameworks, policies, and controls.
* Support automation and efficiency projects within the finance function.
Candidate Profile
* Degree-educated in Finance, Accounting, or Business, with a strong academic record.
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, ideally with 1-2 years post-qualified experience.
* Strong knowledge of GAAP / IFRS and financial reporting principles.
* Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modelling.
