About the Team
St. James's Gate Brewery in Dublin is Diageo's largest manufacturing facility in Ireland, and the largest stout brewery in the world, producing over three million pints of Guinness every day, supplying a growing Irish, UK and US market, and exporting to 90 global markets. Our main beer brands are Guinness, Guiness 0.0, Rockshore, Hop House 13, Smithwick's and Harp. The brewery produces multiple SKUs which are either kegged on site or transported in bulk tankers to packaging sites in Runcorn and Belfast.
About the Role
As a Process Technician in our Tanker Station, you’ll play a pivotal role maintaining customer service levels through the on-time and in-full dispatch of road tankers from St. James’s Gate to our packaging sites in Belfast, Runcorn and beyond.
You’ll oversee the operation of respective process control system and procedures. Additionally, you will play a role in ensuring compliance to food safety and quality standards, ensuring that we deliver quality product to our customers every time.
Key responsibilities include:
* Carry out all necessary in-tanker quality analysis to ensure compliance to food safety and quality standards.
* Cleaning, filling and importing tankers using our process control system.
* Work closely with stakeholders in our brewing operations, planning and logistics teams to ensure any risks to our customer service are mitigated.
* Manage production plans and key performance targets, responding in a timely manner to keep the process on track.
* Assess & optimise process performance/capability on an ongoing basis and look for opportunities to improve performance.
* Responsible for changeovers including CIPS – Optimisation, provide changeover support across machines and lines.
Through a suite of manufacturing excellence tools we strive to achieve world-class standards, and you’ll support us on our continuous improvement journey to identify and undertake projects in your area.
Health and safety compliance is key at St James’s Gate and you’ll be at the forefront of making sure this is monitored alongside other KPI’s and targets including quality, hygiene, waste, and efficiency.
About You
This role requires a proactive approach and being a good communicator is essential. In addition, you’ll be able to demonstrate the following:
* Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably from FMCG.
* Technically savvy, experience using SAP would be an advantage.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
* High attention to detail and ability to prioritise workloads.
* A strong commitment to Health & Safety.
