A leading utility-scale renewable energy developer is seeking a Grid Connections Manager to support the delivery of its growing solar and energy storage pipeline in Ireland.This is a key strategic hire and will be the first in-house grid specialist focused on the Irish market. The role offers strong visibility across project development and the opportunity to shape connection strategy from early stage through to signed agreements.The RoleYou will take ownership of grid connection strategy across a portfolio of utility-scale projects, working closely with development, engineering and external stakeholders to ensure optimal connection solutions are secured.Key responsibilities include:Leading grid connection strategy across the Irish project pipelineManaging the full connection process from optioneering through to signed agreementsActing as primary interface with ESB Networks and EirGridSupporting commercial optimisation of connection offers, timelines and cost exposureCoordinating external technical consultants and grid studiesAdvising internal teams on grid risk, programme and policy developmentsSupporting both solar PV and energy storage projectsYour BackgroundExperience working on grid connections in Ireland within a developer, DNO/TNO, consultancy or renewable energy environmentStrong understanding of ESB Networks and EirGrid processesExperience negotiating connection offers and managing connection riskUnderstanding of grid strategy within renewable project developmentAbility to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectivelyDegree in electrical engineering, energy engineering or related disciplineWhy this roleFirst dedicated grid hire in IrelandStrong project pipeline and long-term growth plansHigh level of autonomy and strategic exposureFully remote working within IrelandOpportunity to shape future grid capability in a scaling organisation
